With 2025 marking the 20th anniversary of their sister city relationship, Beijing and Athens are jointly organizing an exhibition titled "The Greeks: Agamemnon to Alexander the Great" at the Capital Museum of China until May 18, 2025. The exhibition showcases hundreds of artifacts from Greek museums, offering visitors a panoramic view of ancient Greek history and culture. Remarkably, over 90% of the selected cultural relics are being exhibited in Beijing for the first time. Featuring 270 pieces or sets from 14 Greek museums and institutions, the collection includes pottery, stone statues, and gold artifacts. This diverse array of items provides a comprehensive understanding of Greek civilization across different periods, allowing attendees to delve into the richness of ancient Greek heritage. The exhibition will be extended to Shanghai after May 18.
