Blue lake, majestic mountains. As if stepping into the beautiful scenery of an oil painting, this is Tianchi, known as “fairy pond” in ancient times. It is located on the mountainside of the highest peak in the eastern section of the Tianshan Mountains, at an altitude of 1,928 meters. Even in the summer with high temperature, it remains refreshing and pleasant.

We came from Jiangsu, stay one week in Xinjiang and this is our last stop. The scenery here is incredibly beautiful and stunning. I  took a lot of photos at the check-in spots.

Today, this "Pearl Beyond the Great Wall" is one of Xinjiang's premier tourist attractions. In 2013, Tianchi of Tianshan was included in the UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Since January, 2024, it has received more than 1.5 million tourists. To protect this mythical beauty, the scenic area adopts environmentally friendly management methods and develops high-quality tourism.
