On the banks of the Hun River, a gleaming silver ring stage leads to a fully transparent Chinese-style hall, setting the scene for the grand opening of the 2025 Shenyang Qipao Culture Season. Under the floodlights, the city’s landmark was transformed into a runway, marking the spectacular beginning of the season’s festivities.

Over twenty of China’s top fashion designers joined forces to unveil more than 110 exquisite qipao creations. The event celebrated China’s rich regional dress heritage, bringing together the distinctive aesthetics of Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou, and Guangdong-style qipao. Each piece reflected both local flair and a shared spirit of innovation, creating a vibrant tapestry of color, pattern, and form.

Running for three months and featuring over a hundred related activities, the festival invites everyone to dive deeper into qipao culture. A “Qipao + Food” market will blend traditional attire with modern culinary delights—blurring the lines between heritage and contemporary expression.
