[HK Travelogue] Lanterns Light Up Hong Kong for Mid-Autumn Festival
: :

Hong Kong is set to shine this Mid-Autumn Festival as glowing lanterns and festive activities bring colour and joy across the city. From lively streets to serene waterfronts, the celebrations promise to delight locals and visitors alike.

Lee Tung Avenue has transformed into a radiant boulevard, with more than 800 lanterns in vibrant shapes of fish and flowers stretching overhead until October 26. The centrepiece is a golden fish lantern, its shimmering body and flowing tail symbolising prosperity and good fortune, casting a magical glow against the avenue’s elegant streetscape.

Central Market, on the other hand, has curated a playful mix of exhibitions and activities until October 6, including a martial arts showcase, whimsical photo spots and traditional lantern riddles. Out at Gold Coast, a moonlit walk along a shimmering lantern corridor offers a serene way to celebrate under the night sky.

From Sai Sha to Stanley Market, lanterns sparkle across every corner of Hong Kong, filling the city with warmth, wonder, and festive cheer.
