Recently, Guangdong’s first and China’s largest fully underground double-deck AGV smart parking garage has officially begun operation at Shenzhen Children’s Park.
Previously, the park had only 36 ground parking spaces, unable to meet weekend and holiday demand from families. As the core supporting facility of the renovation project, the new underground garage offers 440 intelligent AGV bays, expanding total parking capacity by over 12 times and lifting overall parking capacity in the Dongmen area by 50%. Equipped with 9 self-developed double-deck AGV robots and 9 dedicated elevators, its aisle-free intensive layout removes ramps and turning lanes, boosting underground space utilization by 300%.
Drivers simply pull into the ground‑level lobby, confirm their license plate with one click and enter the park directly, with no on-site attendants or reversing required.
By unlocking underground space through automation without large-scale land acquisition, the scheme sets a replicable benchmark for parking upgrades in old urban parks and commercial districts across the country.
