It’s my first time watching the dragon boat racing. It was cool. I wanna give it a go next year. It was very interesting to like see all the races and in common have some really good food and good company.

And this kind of dinner is a lot. This kind of meal is very special, like, it's over 200 tables.

 

After the races, crews reunite for dragon boat rice - a Ming Dynasty tradition symbolizing good harvests. Back then, villagers shared food equally, rich or poor, to spread good fortune.  .

Did you know winners get a whole pig? This year we feasted on Hong Kong's Poon Choi - abalone, shrimp, pig's feet... all perfectly seasoned! When that lid lifts, everyone attacks! This grand feast is about celebrating victory and sharing blessings through food.
