Hangzhou’s new “Autumn” light show is set to glow, using light and shadow to trace the season’s charm across the city. The display unfolds in three chapters that guide viewers through Hangzhou’s autumn moods.
The first chapter strolls past West Lake as an ancient painting unrolls and flocks of geese cross the sky. The second celebrates autumn abundance with persimmon-laden trees and ginkgo leaves dancing like a moving oil painting. The third captures the Qiantang River’s tidal drama, with giant waves striking the embankment like roaring lions and a vivid clash of nature and human spirit.
Blending the city’s poetic calm and the tide-like surge of energy, the show aims to let residents feel Hangzhou’s thousand-year cultural pulse and its modern vitality in one glittering, poetic spectacle.
