High above the canyons of Huocheng County, Xinjiang, China, the Guozigou Bridge cuts across the majestic Northern Tianshan.

Suspended 180 metres over the valley, this 4.4-kilometre structure serves as the gateway into Yining. 

Completed in 2011, it was Xinjiang’s first high bridge and a national pioneer in modern cable-supported steel construction.

Set within the wild, winding beauty of Guozigou Valley, the bridge blends seamlessly into the mountain landscape.
 

Like a dragon lifting from the peaks, Guozigou Bridge has become one of Yili’s most iconic sights.
