[China Travelogue] Winter Snow Transforms Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area
: :

Tianmen Mountain in Zhangjiajie City, central China’s Hunan Province, has taken on a striking winter appearance following recent rain and snowfall. As clear weather returned last weekend, the snow-covered landscape at Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park came into full view, offering visitors a calm and refreshing winter scene.

Pine trees along the mountain slopes were coated with ice, with delicate rime clinging to branches and catching the light. Clouds rolled gently through the valleys below, adding depth to the wintry setting and enhancing the sense of elevation and space. The combination of snow, ice and drifting clouds has drawn many visitors eager to enjoy the seasonal scenery.

Known for its unique landforms and varied climate, Tianmen Mountain often presents different views throughout the year. Also called “Heaven’s Gate Mountain”, the area is well known for its natural landmarks and remains a popular destination for those seeking scenic landscapes and outdoor experiences.
