During the long holiday, Gulao Tea Mountain in Jiangmen saw a surge in visitors, as tourists flocked to the tea plantation to experience tea culture and connect with nature.
Located about 600 meters above sea level, the tea plantation enjoys fertile soil and misty surroundings, producing tea leaves with exceptional flavor and a lasting aroma. This spring, the plantation spans more than 47 hectares and cultivates premium varieties such as Golden Buds and Snow Buds. From the mountain’s observation tower, visitors can not only enjoy sweeping views of the lush tea fields, but also take in the scenic landscapes of Heshan, Shunde, Nanhai, and Gaoming—an expansive vista that truly refreshes the mind.
For those interested in exploring historic routes, the ancient trail offers a glimpse into the 700-year history of Heshan’s black tea cultivation. The plantation also hosts workshops that introduce tea culture and knowledge in a fun and engaging way. Visitors say the tea mountain is an ideal destination for family trips, where children can learn about nature while adults enjoy a peaceful retreat.
