A grand hot pot-themed urban feast has recently opened in Guiyang, southwest China’s Guizhou Province, bringing cultural scholars, culinary artisans, business representatives and hundreds of local residents and visitors together in a vibrant showcase of shared culinary heritage and enjoyment.

Free tasting zones highlight five major Guizhou hot pot styles — sour, spicy, fresh, aromatic, and distinctive. Signature varieties such as sour soup hot pot, Luoguo (Guizhou flat‑griddle cooking), and dry pot showcase the region’s authentic Qian‑style flavors. Combined with a lively street‑food atmosphere, the event offers visitors an immersive, one‑stop journey into Guizhou’s diverse hot pot culture. 

In line with urban renewal initiatives, the gala has fostered three “15‑minute food blocks” in the host neighborhood, featuring specialty coffee, craft beer, fine dining, creative cultural products, and boutique stays. The event demonstrates the versatility of Guizhou hot pot while reflecting the unique aesthetic of community life - from dining and accommodation to sightseeing and cultural appreciation.
