The redeveloped Huanggang Port, which began operations on October 12, has introduced a streamlined inspection system to speed up cross-border vehicle clearance between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
The upgraded crossing uses a “five-in-one” joint inspection model, bringing together five regulatory authorities from both sides to conduct checks at a single stop. Drivers undergo one round of data collection and simultaneous verification, eliminating repeated inspections and reducing waiting times.
The three-gate system allows vehicles to enter without stopping, pause briefly for document checks and biometric data collection, then proceed once clearance is granted. The port also provides round-the-clock services for cross-border passengers and vehicles.
The redevelopment is expected to strengthen connectivity and facilitate commuting, business travel and technological exchanges across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
