More than 50 foreign talents and their family members from Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Japan gathered on a Zhuhai cruise to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, make lanterns, and experience traditional Chinese culture.
Laughter and chatter rode the waves as participants assembled richly supplied lantern kits, producing a string of distinctive, handmade lights. The atmosphere was warm and hands-on, with people of all ages busily at work.
When the boat neared the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, passengers flocked to the deck, phones and cameras raised, capturing smiles framed against the sweeping bridge view.
An organiser said the event aimed to give foreign residents in Zhuhai a broad platform to showcase their talents, help them feel that Zhuhai can be their home, and encourage them to settle, work, innovate, and start businesses locally.
The cruise blended festive fun with cultural exchange, leaving newcomers with fond memories of a welcoming city.
