China's domestically developed C919 passenger aircraft is set to begin its first scheduled international service on August 12, marking a new milestone in the aircraft's commercial operations.

Operated by Air China, the new route will connect Beijing and Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, with one daily round-trip flight, expanding the C919's presence beyond the Chinese mainland for the first time.

The outbound service will depart Beijing Capital International Airport at 3:00 p.m. and arrive in Ulaanbaatar at 5:15 p.m. The return flight will leave Ulaanbaatar at 6:30 p.m. and land in Beijing at 8:35 p.m.

Air China has opened ticket sales for the new service, offering passengers the opportunity to travel internationally aboard China's first homegrown large passenger jet. The launch marks another step forward in the C919's commercial deployment and international operations.
