The Italy leg of the global "China-Europe Humanities Train" exhibition and exchange series recently opened in Rome. A set of lifelike pottery-based dough sculptures from China has been a particular draw for visitors, depicting vivid scenes of daily Chinese life — noodles drying in the sun, skilled craftsmen at work in noodle workshops and bustling crowds along city streets.
Centered on aesthetic education dialogue and youth cultural exchange between China and Europe, the event uses art exhibitions as a platform to foster mutual learning between educational and artistic circles of the two countries.
The opening ceremony featured performances by young people from both sides. Chinese and Italian students sang together to convey friendship, while Chinese participants also presented poetry recitals and a live calligraphy demonstration.
The exhibition showcases fine works from more than 10 countries including China, Italy, Russia, Greece and Australia, with over 100 physical pieces and 400 digital works on display. A special section features over 70 creations by young Italian artists.
