Chinese embodied AI company AGIBOT has expanded its presence in Australia and New Zealand with the launch of a Robot as a Service (RaaS) model, aiming to accelerate the adoption of robotics across a range of industries.

Unveiled at the company's Australia and New Zealand partner conference in Melbourne on Friday, the initiative will be delivered with local partners and tailored for sectors including mining, commercial cleaning, facility management, research and education, and cultural entertainment.

The conference featured demonstrations of AGIBOT's humanoid robots, quadrupeds and commercial cleaning robots, highlighting their potential for real-world commercial applications.

Industry participants said rapid advances in Chinese robotics and embodied AI are creating new opportunities for businesses and institutions, with growing adoption expected to enhance productivity and support innovation across Australia and New Zealand.

Under the RaaS model, AGIBOT will provide robot products while local partners handle logistics, deployment and technical support, helping reduce upfront costs for customers.

The company also plans to expand its local service network and collaborate with regional partners on innovation projects to support the safe and reliable commercial deployment of embodied AI technologies.
