Hong Kong's musical talent took centre stage at Portugal's Marvão International Music Festival, with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta delivering four performances during the festival from July 24 to August 2.

Led by Music Director Christoph Poppen, the orchestra closed the festival with the Farewell Gala, joined by Hong Kong musicians including harmonica virtuoso and composer Cy Leo, jazz pianist Daniel Chu and composer-performer Alice Yeung. Together, they performed for around 2,000 international audience members, highlighting the city's vibrant and diverse music scene.

The festival, one of Europe's leading classical music events, marked the Hong Kong Sinfonietta's fourth appearance in Marvão, reflecting its growing international presence and strengthening cultural ties between Hong Kong, Portugal and the wider European community.
