Chinese artificial intelligence technologies attracted attention at the World AI Summit in Amsterdam, as industry leaders highlighted China's growing influence in the global AI sector and discussions began on potentially bringing the event to China next year.
Held on October 7-8, the summit brought together industry players to explore ways to safeguard AI's future and shape its development.
Chinese exhibitors, including robot maker Unitree Robotics, showcased humanoid and robotic dogs, drawing crowds eager to see the machines in action.
Beyond robotics, China's advances in AI algorithms also featured prominently, with companies such as DeepSeek, Moonshot and Alibaba recognised for developing innovative technologies with global impact. Discussions also explored practical AI applications and AI agents that can help businesses operate more effectively.
The Shanghai International Exhibition Group said it had been invited by the organisers to discuss hosting a China edition as early as next year. The group also plans to bring more Chinese exhibitors and delegates to future events, further strengthening international exchanges in AI.
