Shenzhen is strengthening its position in the global robotics industry by helping entrepreneurs turn ideas into products through its fast, integrated manufacturing supply chain.
At Robot Valley, a 28-square-kilometre technology zone in Nanshan District, companies cover the robotics industrial chain, from components to finished products. The cluster attracts overseas entrepreneurs, buyers and investors seeking manufacturing partners and opportunities to meet growing demand.
For international innovators, speed is a major draw. A Silicon Valley entrepreneur developing an AI companion robot relocated his company to Shenzhen in July, attracted by the ability to obtain custom-made parts within a day rather than waiting weeks.
A local technology company has hosted more than 200 business matchmaking sessions, with overseas clients accounting for 90 percent of participants, reflecting strong international interest in Shenzhen’s robotics supply chain.
Investors are also exploring partnerships in robotics, electronics and AI. Meanwhile, local companies are expanding overseas, with some already serving international clients as they build their global presence.
