Lianyungang, a northern Chinese city, woke to snowfall that, together with crystalline rime, dressed the Huaguo Mountain Scenic Area in a sweep of white. Flurries and frosted branches transformed the park into an ice-and-snow world, drawing many locals and out-of-town visitors who came to hike and savour the season’s quiet beauty.

Across the slopes, pure snow blanketed the peaks. From Yunv Peak, the scene read like a painted tableau: staunch pines stood dusted in frost; trees hung with glittering snow; and the ridges, set against mist, resembled pear blossoms in bloom, their silver sheen striking in the winter light.

Early birds arrived at dawn to capture the rare post-snow spectacle. Phones and cameras clicked as visitors recorded the luminous vistas, packing memory cards with images of mountain, sea, and winter’s soft poetry.
