[China Travelogue] A Natural Masterpiece: Taihang Mountains in Snow
[China Travelogue] A Natural Masterpiece: Taihang Mountains in Snow
: :

In eastern China, the Taihang Mountains—home to several famous peaks—are a beloved scenic destination. Recently, a heavy snowfall transformed the range into a breathtaking scene of poetic beauty.

At Yuntai Mountain, rime-covered branches bloom like ten thousand pear trees in full blossom. Frost-laden pines stand proudly, like ethereal snow lotuses. Steep cliffs are blanketed in white, while terraced fields trace soft, water-like curves across the slopes. Crystal icicles hang from the eaves, capturing the quiet charm of early spring.

Shennong Mountain unfolds like a powerful yet graceful Chinese painting. The 11.5 km ridge snakes along like a jade dragon, with ochre-red cliffs softly veiled in white. At the summit, over 16,000 lacebark pines sparkle with snow, their icy coats shimmering like dragon scales. It feels as if a celestial hand has painted a splash-ink landscape, capturing the majestic spirit and wild romance of the Taihang Mountains.
