Early summer has arrived in Zhaoqing, southern China, as lotus flowers and frangipani bloom in succession, creating a picturesque natural scene that attracts crowds of local residents and tourists.
Strolling along the lakeside, visitors are greeted by layers of lotus leaves blanketing the water’s surface. Pale pink lotus blossoms rise gracefully above the water. Some remain tightly closed buds, while others have just unfurled in the gentle breeze, releasing a faint and delicate fragrance. Warm sunlight spills across the lake, where shimmering reflections and floral scenery blend harmoniously.
Frangipani trees lining the shore are also in full bloom. Their white petals, accented by soft yellow centers, cluster thickly along the branches and fill the air with a sweet scent. Together with the green lotus leaves and pink blossoms, they create a unique summer atmosphere distinctive to Zhaoqing.
The lotus flowers are currently in the early blooming stage and are expected to reach full bloom gradually in the coming weeks. Frangipani flowers will continue blooming through June. Many residents and visitors come to stroll through the area, admire the scenery, and take photos.
