[Cultural China] Lotus-Themed Palace Fan Exhibition Showcases Summer Elegance
: :

An exhibition of lotus-themed Chinese palace fan paintings has opened in Nanjing, eastern China. More than 60 exquisite works by renowned artists are on display, capturing the graceful forms and timeless beauty of summer lotus blossoms on the delicate surfaces of traditional palace fans.

Hu Die, Event Staff:

"Palace fans were elegant accessories used by literati scholars and women in ancient China to keep cool during the summer. Viewing these lotus-adorned fans not only evokes a refreshing sense of coolness but also conveys the lotus's symbolism of nobility and integrity, while preserving the traditions of Chinese fine-brush painting and embodying profound cultural and aesthetic values."

The scenic area has also set up a dedicated sales zone for fresh lotus flowers and edible lotus seed pods. Using the lotus pond as a link between local farmers and visitors, it offers freshly harvested lotus products directly to tourists.

Ye Hong, Lotus Grower:

"When the weather permits, we harvest them in the morning and deliver them here right away. We do our best to ensure our products are freshly picked and full of flavor."
