Government officials and business leaders from ASEAN nations, recently conducted an insightful visit to Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine and Guangxi International Zhuang Medicine Hospital. The study tour served as a strategic step to strengthen Sino-ASEAN collaboration in traditional medicine.
The delegation explored the exhibition hall at Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine, gaining valuable insights into the properties and uses of various traditional Chinese herbs. The group also experienced specialized therapies such as Zhuang medicinal thread moxibustion and herbal bamboo cupping at the Zhuang Medicine Hospital—an immersive introduction to the unique techniques and rich cultural heritage of Zhuang and Yao medicine.
Guangxi has been actively advancing the holistic development of the traditional Chinese medicine industry in recent years, spanning cultivation, processing, R&D, and trade. With ASEAN countries boasting abundant resources in medicinal herbs and China possessing well-established production and processing standards, both sides see strong potential for complementary cooperation. There is shared interest in leveraging these synergies to foster deeper multi-faceted partnerships in the traditional medicine sector.
