During his visit to Beijing for the 80th anniversary commemorations of the victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić spoke warmly about the closeness between Serbia and China.

On social media, he thanked President Xi Jinping for his welcome and described the bond as a true friendship built on trust and support. Vučić reflected on how this relationship has grown stronger over the years, noting that it now stands as an example of how countries, even from different continents, can nurture lasting ties through understanding and goodwill.

In an interview with a Chinese news outlet, Vučić called the September 3rd commemoration “truly overwhelming”, praising Xi’s message of peace, justice, and global stability. His remarks, centred on cooperation and understanding, reflected a wider call for countries to work together in sustaining harmony and trust.

With heartfelt admiration for China’s people and culture, Vučić declared: “Please come and see Serbia. This is your second home!” He pledged to strengthen cultural exchanges, stressing that ties between peoples form the most enduring bridge of friendship.
