[Global Connect] China-Built Wastewater Facility Opens in Ulaanbaatar
: :

Mongolia’s largest and most advanced wastewater treatment plant officially began operations in Ulaanbaatar on Monday, marking a major milestone in China-Mongolia cooperation.

Constructed by Chinese companies using Chinese technology and engineering standards, the new central treatment facility is expected to significantly enhance the Mongolian capital’s wastewater management capacity and support its long-term environmental goals.

The project is designed to improve urban infrastructure, raise public health standards and contribute to the sustainable development of Ulaanbaatar, home to nearly half of Mongolia’s population.

Developed as part of ongoing cooperation between the two neighbouring countries, the plant highlights their shared commitment to improving livelihoods and strengthening practical collaboration. The facility also stands as a new symbol of the enduring partnership and friendly ties between China and Mongolia.
