The highly anticipated 35th Hong Kong Book Fair opens today at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai and will run for seven days. This annual event is a major cultural highlight in Asia, drawing book lovers from near and far to immerse themselves in its vibrant literary atmosphere.
Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the fair brings together publishers, authors, and readers to celebrate and promote a culture of reading. This year’s theme, "Food Culture • Future Living," features a curated selection of literary works related to food. Visitors are invited to explore culinary traditions and histories from diverse perspectives, gain insights into the relationship between diet and healthy living, and discover how technology is shaping future eating habits and lifestyles.
The fair also offers a rich and diverse program, including seminars with renowned authors from around the world, various cultural activities, and the World of Art and Culture zone—all designed to inspire the public to explore the joys of reading.
Ticket prices remain unchanged at $30 for adults and $10 for children. To celebrate its 35th edition, the fair is offering a special treat: anyone born in 1990 can enter for free by presenting a valid ID.
