Hong Kong’s latest innovation and technology (I&T) achievements are taking the spotlight at InnoCarnival 2026, a nine-day event running from October 24 to November 1 at Hong Kong Science Park in Sha Tin. Admission is free.

Under the theme “Lead with I&T Dream to Fly High”, this year’s carnival features an aerospace zone showcasing research by local universities and their contributions to the country’s space exploration missions, alongside a range of homegrown technological innovations.

More than 40 partners, including universities, research centres and government departments, are presenting their latest work through exhibitions and interactive games. Visitors can also take part in around 150 workshops and attend more than 10 webinars exploring topics such as artificial intelligence and aerospace technology.

The event was opened by Financial Secretary Paul Chan, who highlighted Hong Kong’s research strengths and its efforts to turn scientific discoveries into practical applications. He also encouraged young people to explore how technology can improve everyday life, pointing to a student invention that turns food waste into paper as an example of how simple ideas can lead to meaningful innovations.
