At Chongqing Vocational College of Intelligent Engineering, robot volunteers guided students and parents through freshman registration, answered questions, and dispatched autonomous carts to deliver luggage. The college says the initiative offers a direct and fun way for new students to experience technology and see where their studies might lead.

Students praised the robots for making registration clear and quick, saying the service felt very convenient and showcased how technology can enhance everyday life.

The machines use the school’s AI voice-interaction system and precise navigation. Beyond welcome week, the college plans to expand their use in classrooms, library services, and campus security.
