As the snow season officially kicks off, Chongli, the Winter Olympic town in north China’s Hebei Province, is once again alive with excitement. Resorts across the area, which hosted events for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, have reopened to welcome eager visitors ready to hit the slopes.
With its long snow season and world-class conditions, Chongli remains a magnet for winter sports fans. At one local resort, early risers lined up before sunrise to make the most of the untouched trails. “I arrived at the ski resort as early as 7 o’clock to catch the first run,” said Zhou Hanzi, a ski enthusiast.
To elevate the skiing experience, resorts have enhanced snowmaking operations, upgraded slopes, and improved facilities. Throughout the season, Chongli will host nearly 100 ski events and cultural activities, ensuring an energetic and festive winter for all.
