A giant panda delighted visitors with its playful antics in the snow at the Qinling Sibao Science Park in Xi’an, northwest China’s Shaanxi Province, earlier this week.
Meng Meng, the beloved resident panda, was seen bounding, rolling and tumbling across the snow-blanketed outdoor enclosure, clearly relishing the wintry conditions. From energetic leaps to curious moments reaching for fruit on nearby trees, the panda’s carefree behaviour added charm to the serene winter scene.
Native to mountainous regions, giant pandas are well adapted to cold weather and are known to enjoy snowy environments. Unlike heat, which they tend to avoid, low temperatures suit them well. Snow also plays a practical role, helping to naturally clean and maintain their thick fur.
