South China's Hainan Province is drawing holiday visitors with immersive experiences that bring the island's film heritage to life, blending cinematic nostalgia with National Day celebrations.

Changying Wonderland in Haikou, the provincial capital, has rolled out a range of themed activities, including dance performances, live-action historical shows and presentations of classic movie soundtracks. Together, they offer visitors an engaging journey through China's cinematic history.

The experience takes on a new dimension after dark, when the park stages a water-based light show featuring modern projection technology and a narrative built around storytelling and cultural themes.

The spectacle reaches its climax with familiar revolutionary film scores filling the venue, while fireworks reflected on the lake and colourful lighting create a vibrant audio-visual celebration.
