Humanoid robots have delivered another show-stopping martial arts display at Beijing’s iconic Temple of Heaven, following their widely praised appearance at this year’s Spring Festival Gala.
Developed by Unitree Robotics, the machines performed in front of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, the temple’s main structure. In a video released this week, 50 humanoid robots dressed in red vests moved in flawless synchrony, executing backflips, cartwheels and rapid kickboxing routines with striking precision.
The robots had already captured global attention during the 2026 Spring Festival Gala. Performing alongside young human actors, they completed complex kung fu sequences, bounced from trampolines and even scaled walls, thrilling audiences worldwide.
The latest performance highlights how quickly the technology is advancing. Just a year ago, earlier versions of Unitree’s robots appeared at the gala performing a simple folk dance. Today, their agility and coordination signal a bold new chapter for China’s humanoid robotics industry.
