The WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 Expo opened to the public on Wednesday, September 23, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center, offering visitors nearly 100 hands-on skill experiences across 300 interactive booths.

Held alongside the 48th WorldSkills Competition, the expo brings together traditional craftsmanship and modern technologies, highlighting how skills continue to evolve with industry and society.

In the China Pavilion, exhibits trace this journey from the Four Great Inventions to modern communications, Beidou satellite navigation, artificial intelligence and advanced energy technologies. Visitors can also experience traditional woodblock watermark printing, using carved blocks to create souvenirs featuring the WorldSkills logo.

The expo brings together signature skills from all 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, with traditional crafts displayed alongside innovations such as interactive robots. Companies are also showcasing technologies and products while giving visitors opportunities to put their skills to the test, offering a closer look at how expertise is developed and applied in everyday life and industry.

International pavilions and global skills partners add a broader dimension to the event, creating opportunities to exchange ideas and explore new approaches to skills development.
