The Changchun World Sculpture Park in Changchun, Jilin Province, northeast China, has launched its ice-and-snow project, opening a winter playground under the theme “Spring City in Northern China, Snowy World of Entertainment.” At the west gate, a towering snow sculpture of a rearing horse grabs attention, its dynamic pose and flying flakes lending the plaza a heroic, wintry theatre.
Visitors can wander into specialty ice houses and snow huts, or warm up with a hot drink from an ice-and-snow food truck, soaking in a cozy contrast to the frosty art. The site blends hands-on features with large-scale sculptures to keep the mood playful and immersive.
When night falls, the park’s lights shift into spectacle: atmospheric lighting loops and lantern bands weave through the ice, painting the scene in shifting colours. Organisers say the project fuses culture, art, and interaction to offer a seasonal cultural-tourism feast for locals and tourists alike.
