At 8 p.m., the streetlights dim and a five-act sequence begins, drawing viewers into a staged journey across time and culture.

The five acts move from prehistoric legends and local ethnic customs to retro memories, contemporary city life, and frontier technology. In the finale, the imagery draws on Guizhou’s booming big data and computing power sectors, sketching a vision of the digital age and the technological possibilities ahead.

Along a 500-metre stretch of road, the event adds a night market vibe with themed food stalls, bespoke coffee and cocktail stands, and live bands and singers. Projections, music, and market aromas mingle to create a lively, convivial corridor that organisers say forms a new band of urban vitality, blending everyday life with artful spectacle.
