Jiulong Lake in Dazhou City, southwest China’s Sichuan Province, offers a calm and scenic winter landscape that attracts visitors throughout the season. In the early morning, light mist often covers the lake, while frost forms along the shoreline and reflects the soft glow of the rising sun. As the fog gradually clears, the still water lies between the surrounding hills, occasionally broken by wild ducks moving across the surface.

Towards evening, the lake reflects the warm tones of the sunset, creating a quiet and orderly scene that changes with the light. The steady winter atmosphere makes Jiulong Lake a popular spot for local residents and visitors to enjoy nature, take walks and capture photographs.

The artificial lake was built in 1954, covering an area of 212 hectares and holding up to 19.54 million cubic metres of water.
