A sea of pear blossoms is once again transforming Xipu Village in east China’s Fujian Province, attracting growing numbers of visitors and bringing renewed vitality to the local economy.
Each spring, the village’s pear orchards burst into bloom, with delicate white flowers blanketing the landscape. The picturesque scenery, combined with mild spring weather, has made the village a popular destination for tourists eager to wander through the blossoms, take photographs and enjoy the tranquil countryside.
Local residents have been enhancing tourism services to welcome the influx of visitors, offering homestays, traditional meals and locally made snacks.
In recent years, Xipu Village has received more than 30,000 tourists annually during the blooming season. This year, demand for village homestays has surged, while rural restaurants and small eateries are reporting brisk business, reflecting the growing role of nature tourism in boosting the rural economy.
