[China Travelogue] Early Spring Colours Bloom at Hangzhou Wetlands
: :

As the Spring Festival holiday came to a close on Monday, Xixi National Wetland Park in Hangzhou, east China’s Zhejiang Province, welcomed visitors with a vibrant display of early spring. Over 20,000 plum trees, around 70 percent in bloom, filled the park with white and pink blossoms.

The flowers, with slender branches and fresh green calyxes, reflected softly on the calm waters, creating scenes that echo the charm of classical Chinese poetry. Visitors strolled through the groves or drifted along the waterways by boat, enjoying the gentle scenery.

The plum blossom season at Xixi Wetland is expected to last through early March, offering a peaceful introduction to spring.
