Have you ever seen a mango as big as your head? At the 8th Luokang Mango Festival in Xinhui, visitors marveled at towering mango displays, picked fresh fruit straight from the trees, and indulged in the sweet taste of summer.
The star of the three-day event was the prized Jinhuang mango—a buttery-smooth variety originally from Taiwan, often called the "Hermès of mangoes" for its rich flavor and impressive size.
This year’s festival drew crowds with 12 mango-themed snacks and Instagram-worthy photo spots, blending fun and flavor. For local farmers and vendors, the event’s growing popularity has sweetened both their produce’s reputation and their incomes, making it a highlight of the season.
