China’s cultural tourism sector continues to flourish, with traditional culture now deeply integrated into travel experiences. In Suizhou, central China’s Hubei Province, the Dahong Mountain Scenic Area celebrated the forthcoming Year of the Horse by offering free entry to visitors who recited a horse-themed poem. “Offering free admission…enhances visitor engagement, making traditional culture alive indeed,” said tourist Yang Zikun.

Across the country, scenic spots are crafting immersive cultural encounters. In central China’s Kaifeng City, holographic projection and naked-eye 3D technology bring historical figures to life for interactive performances. In east China’s Zhejiang’s Liangzhu Ancient Town, VR headsets transport visitors over 5,000 years back in time, showing early settlers building water systems and tending livestock.

From poetry recitals to virtual journeys through history, these initiatives highlight how blending tradition and technology is making China’s cultural heritage more engaging and accessible than ever.
