The 15th National Games run from November 9 to 21 across Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. Baseball and softball will be played from November 10 to 20 at the Zhongshan International Baseball & Softball Center, where the mascots already greet visitors at the main gate.
The venue sits on nearly 100,000 square metres and meets international standards. It’s equipped with player locker rooms, lounges, a broadcast studio, medical facilities and full 5G coverage, ready for large-scale competition and live transmission.
Teams from around the country have been arriving to adapt to the field and fine-tune their training.
Oshima Den, Head Coach, Hong Kong Women’s Softball Team:
Our players are mostly amateurs.
Many provincial teams are professional.
We come in as challengers
trying to learn from higher-level players.
The field, the facilities, the stands
in many ways it’s perfect.
If we get the chance,
we’ll come here more often
Lau Hiu-Kwan & Pong Yui-chi:
We hope to play at our best
and to meet and learn from players from the mainland.
