Honghe Middle School in Zhuhai, southern China, recently hosted its first-ever science and technology festival. A total of 93 innovative science exhibits and hands-on activities were presented, covering aerospace models, creative crafts, subject-based scientific practices, and more.

Large numbers of curious students gathered around physics-themed displays, including space elevator models and fixed-wing drone showcases. Eye-catching chemistry experiments, such as fire-hand stunts and instant ice-making demonstrations, drew constant gasps from attendees. Simulated flight experiences and robot performances in the information technology section were also hugely popular, attracting long queues.

Students moved freely among the various booths to try out scientific equipment, observe fascinating experiments, and exchange ideas about their original creations. Through immersive hands-on participation, they explored the wonders of science firsthand.

Focused on aerospace science education, the school has been operating for nearly three years. So far, its students have won one national science innovation award, along with 10 first prizes, 11 second prizes, and 35 third prizes in provincial-level science competitions.
