[HK Thrills] Explore Wan Chai's Literary and Architectural Heritage by City Walk
: :

The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) has launched a two-month free city walk program in Wan Chai, running until September 30. Known for its vibrant streets and historic charm, Wan Chai offers the perfect backdrop for exploring literary and architectural heritage.

Participants can choose from three themed routes: a literary walk, a heritage tour, and a street food map. Each transforms the district into an open-air museum, inviting visitors to follow in the footsteps of writers and uncover stories woven into the cityscape. Along the way, participants can collect stamps and redeem them for exclusive souvenirs, adding a fun, treasure hunt element to the experience.

In collaboration with the Museum of Hong Kong Literature and the Salvation Army, the program is centered around 7 Mallory Street (M7), with guided tours covering landmarks such as the Blue House, Old Wan Chai Market, Hopewell Centre, and Lee Tung Avenue.

Tours are free, last about two hours, and are led by local residents. Registration is open for six August sessions for those aged 12 and above, with up to 15 participants per tour.
