The 27th China Hi-Tech Fair in Shenzhen highlighted the latest in embodied-AI robotics, featuring innovations from sign-language-capable humanoid hands to e-skin tactile gloves. Over three days, the event drew more than 5,000 companies from 100+ countries and over 450,000 visitors, unveiling 5,000 new products and technologies.
Researchers at Harbin University of Technology Shenzhen introduced China’s first sign language robot, developed from a database they have been building since 2008. “Our design allows universal adaptation…, [and] the system automatically calculates the required angles and postures,” said Lyu Junzeng.
Meanwhile, Tachin Tech showcased its full-palm electronic-skin glove, capable of recording temperature, pressure, and other data in real time. “With more than 1,000 sensors… we can capture over 10 megabits of data per second,” co-founder Dong Zhi explained, offering crucial support for tactile perception AI models.
The fair underscored China’s growing strength in intelligent robotics and human-like AI perception.
