The robotic guide dog can provide navigation, identify tactile paving, detect obstacles, recognise traffic signals, and help users travel independently.

Powered by AMap’s Abot embodied AI technology system, the quadruped robot has been upgraded into a smarter guide dog. It can monitor the weather, report progress, stay by its owner’s side, and even complete complex tasks such as signing contracts on the owner’s behalf.

China has around 17 million visually impaired people, but only about 400 guide dogs. Training guide dogs is costly, time-consuming, and has a low success rate.

Robotic guide dogs use algorithms instead of traditional training. They do not get tired or sick, and can provide reliable assistance 24 hours a day.
