Meeting historical figures is no longer science fiction!

The recent 2025 World Robot Conference in Beijing featured over 1,500 exhibits from more than 200 robotics companies worldwide, with over 100 new products making their global debut. Among the showstoppers was a hyper-realistic bionic robot designed in the likeness of Zhang Zhongjing, an ancient Chinese medical master.

Complete with silver hair tied in a traditional style, an intricately detailed beard, lifelike wrinkles, and natural blinking eyes, the robot drew gasps of amazement from spectators. “I can’t believe how real it looks—it’s like he stepped right out of history,” attendees remarked. Many described the experience as surreal, almost like meeting a time-traveling historical figure face to face, and expressed awe at how far robotic technology has advanced.
