[Tech Trends] Embodied AI Robot Enters Real-World Care Scenarios

Recently, a humanoid robot codenamed “0755” was officially deployed at a nursing home in Shenzhen serving seniors with severe disabilities. Its duties include routine patrols, item delivery and voice-based companionship, marking a step forward in testing embodied AI robots in complex, everyday environments.

Unlike conventional pre-programmed or teleoperated systems, the company has developed a general-purpose embodied AI large model trained on real-world data, enabling fine-grained manipulation capabilities. Its proprietary “World Unified Model” architecture integrates vision, language, touch, motion and physical reasoning into a single neural network. This allows the robot to grasp physical principles such as gravity, inertia and friction, reason through novel scenarios and continuously learn from experience, becoming more capable over time.

The company aims to embed robots into daily life. It has already partnered with housekeeping agencies to deploy robots alongside cleaners for in-home tasks such as tidying and organizing. Next, the robots will be rolled out across four key sectors—child welfare, social services, elderly care and healthcare—with use cases ranging from companionship for orphaned and disabled children and automated ward rounds to rehabilitation training for people with special needs, bringing robots further into everyday human life.
