The 2026 World Robot Conference has recently opened in Beijing under the official theme "Human-Robot Symbiosis, Production-Demand Convergence", showcasing how robotics can empower industries with deeper applications.

The exhibition presents tangible technological advances. Robots perform plum blossom pole boxing, stair climbing and crawling movements, demonstrating enhanced motion control, environmental adaptability and task execution capability. The mass-produced GD-01 manned transformable mecha — around 3 meters tall with a 500-kilogram loaded capacity — switches freely between bipedal and quadrupedal forms. A table tennis robot leverages large models to predict ball trajectories and plan strokes independently, validating the "brain + cerebellum" coordinated motion control framework.

Over 70 supporting events run throughout the conference, with sector-specific sessions focusing on industrial applications, elderly care and smart automotive manufacturing to unlock real commercial demand. International matchmaking programs with South Korean and Singaporean industry participants are also held to advance global industrial synergy.
