David Muoka has marked a historic moment for Hong Kong by becoming the first player born and raised in Hong Kong to secure a contract with the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Muoka is expected to play for the Blazers’ G League affiliate, the Rip City Remix, in the upcoming season. The G League serves as a critical platform for NBA teams to develop young talent and assess potential players from both local and international backgrounds.
Standing at 2.08 meters tall and of Nigerian and British descent, Muoka honed his skills in local school competitions while attending West Island School before furthering his education and basketball career at the University of Nevada in the United States.
